Do you understand municipal construction standards?
Yes. Public work is built to the project specification and the owner’s standards rather than to a generic detail, and it is verified by independent testing. We work from the spec, keep density, moisture and material documentation current, and expect the inspector to be able to check anything at any time.
Can you minimize disruption during construction?
That is planned before mobilization. Traffic control and phasing, maintained access for residents and businesses, dust and mud control on public streets, protection of existing utilities, and leaving the site safe at the end of every shift are treated as part of the scope on public work.
Do you work as a subcontractor to general contractors on public bids?
Yes. We work directly for municipalities and public agencies and as an earthwork subcontractor to general contractors on public bids, including furnishing the quantities, schedule input and documentation the prime needs during bidding and construction.
How do you handle erosion control and stormwater compliance?
Public projects are usually permitted under the TCEQ construction general permit, which requires a stormwater pollution prevention plan in place before construction begins, regular inspections through the project, and stabilization before termination. We install and maintain those measures as part of the earthwork scope and keep the inspection records with them.
