Services We Offer
Everything we do is one sequence, from clearing the ground to a tested pad. See the whole order of work, or go straight to a service.
Before the first machine: the geotechnical report, the boring logs and the plans read together, the takeoff built on them, and value engineering from conceptual design through bidding.
Stormwater controls in before the ground is opened and kept standing until the site is stabilized. We install them on our own sites; large erosion control scopes go to specialist partners.
Clearing and grubbing: trees, brush and roots out, with the trees you keep protected. On rural sites the organics can be burned where local rules allow, or buried in green space, instead of hauled.
Flatwork and structural demolition, with the concrete hauled to a crushing site rather than a landfill.
The top few inches of organic soil taken off and stockpiled for re-spread, worked into the balance where the report allows, or hauled.
Bulk cut and fill: bank cut to fill until the site balances, then import or export to reach grade, all measured in cubic yards.
Mass, basin and structural excavation, planned from the geotechnical report and the borings, through clay, chalk, hard rock and limestone.
Moisture conditioning, tested lift by lift, and the cap the geotechnical report calls for: select fill, flex base or a lime-stabilized cap.
Every subgrade scarified and compacted, then stabilized with lime or cement, or occasionally cement kiln dust, where the design calls for it.
Specialized shoring solutions: specialist partners design and install the support, and we dig, haul and backfill around it.
Scheduling, submittals, daily reporting and coordination with the utility and paving trades, from mobilization to closeout.
FAQs
We build to whatever governs the job: the project's geotechnical report and its boring logs on private work, TxDOT and heavy highway specifications on state work, the federal process on federal work, and the ASTM test methods behind all of them. We have worked with the major geotechnical firms in Dallas-Fort Worth, and no two sites are the same ground.
What sets IRONWILL apart from other earthwork companies?
We read the ground before we price it. The geotechnical report and the boring logs decide the cut, the moisture, the cap and the test every lift has to pass, so we read them before the takeoff, and we have worked with the major geotechnical firms in Dallas-Fort Worth. We work in one order of work from clearing to a tested pad, self-performed, through clay, chalk, hard rock and limestone. And our collaboration starts long before we break ground: from conceptual design and bidding through construction we offer value engineering and site analysis, and we work alongside the utility and paving trades to keep scope gaps and delays out of the job.
How does IRONWILL ensure safety measures in your operations?
Safety is one of our core values and the focus of our operations. We strictly adhere to industry standards and regulations. Our office staff and our foremen are OSHA 30 certified. We ensure that every team member in the field has the PPE necessary for their position, has been trained in our safety protocols and shares the mission to care for one another out in the field. We verify locates by hand and ensure that all equipment is running properly to avoid any incidents.
How do you handle unexpected site conditions or project challenges?
Communication and documentation. In our industry we are presented every day with unforeseen challenges, from weather and material availability to changed field conditions and additional requests from city officials, and our experienced team knows how to adapt quickly and resolve many of them before they affect your schedule. Constant communication with our clients is the key, and tight collaboration with our partner vendors is what lets us pivot at a moment's notice.
How do I request a quote or consultation for my project?
